What is Comic Con? It is a pop culture phenomenon that’s main focus has been on comic books and comic book culture but in recent years has grown to popular icons from television, movies, and gaming. Fans gather to visit exhibitors, vendors and to meet creators, experts, and enthusiasts.
The Ohana Comic Con gathering will take place during the festival in Women’s World and there will be no admission fee.
Many who attend a comic con event will come dressed up like their favorite character so those costumes you bought for Halloween can also be used at this year’s festival! Join us as your favorite character! Attendees dressed in costume can participate in Ohana Comic Con’s costume contest at 2:30 p.m. There will be a division for Adults and one for Children. Contest will take place on the stage between Lumber Town and Women’s World. Contestants must sign up with Ohana inside of Woman’s World prior to the contest. Prizes will be given. PLEASE NOTE: Costume props resembling weapons are NOT allowed in the festival OR Comic Con. Judging of contest will be done as a NO PROPS event. Any props resembling a weapon will be confiscated.
