The City of Madera, in partnership with The Pacific Companies, MORES, and the Madera Chamber of Commerce, hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Tuesday, March 22nd at 3:30 pm to celebrate the completion of Esperanza Village, a new downtown housing project located at 125 N. C Street.
Esperanza Village is a 48-unit affordable housing development located in the heart of Downtown Madera. In 2019, the City of Madera, in collaboration with The Pacific Companies and MORES, obtained an $11.3 million grant for the project from the California Strategic Growth Council’s Affordable Housing and Sustainable Communities (AHSC) program. Construction for the project concluded in the fourth quarter of 2021, and all units are now fully occupied.
The City of Madera hosted a long-awaited ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday, March 30th to officially commemorate the completion of Fire Station No. 58, the first new fire station built in Madera since 1978.
Station 58 is located at the southwest corner of Aviation Drive and Condor Avenue, just west of State Route 99. Designed with an architectural aesthetic inspired by the neighboring Madera Municipal Airport, the 9,020 square-foot state-of-the-art facility features three apparatus bays, a sleeping area for up to 10 personnel, a kitchen, a day room, an exercise facility, and a training room. Built with firefighter health and wellness in mind, the station includes safety features that reduce firefighters’ exposure to carcinogens and hazardous vehicle emissions and is also equipped with a HeartSmart fire department alerting system.
Boot Barn Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: BOOT), the largest western and workwear retailer in the nation, will celebrated the opening on April 1st with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony. The new nearly 21,000 square foot store is located at 2220 W. Cleveland Ave. This will be the company’s 58th store in California.

The Arc serves over 650 individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities with a professional staff of 185 in eight program settings.
