High school students form Madera county will act as attorneys, witnesses, county clerks and bailiffs as the compete in this year's Mock Trial. Students will argue a hypothetical case. A championship round will be help on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 8:30 a.m. The awards ceremony will be held following the championship round at 11:45 a.m. at Madera County Superintendent of Schools. Madera County Superintendent of Schools will host the 37th annual Academic Decathlon on Saturday, February 2, 2019. This year's topic is the 1960s: A Transformation Decade. The Super Quiz begins at 3:00 p.m. followed by a reception and awards ceremony at Madera South High School. High school students will take tests in the areas of art, economics, literature, mathematics, music, science and social science. Subjective events include essay, interview and speech.
