On August 21, 2014, Senator Anthony Cannella made a surprise announcement at the Madera Chamber of Commerce’s Lifetime Achievement Awards and Installation Dinner. While Senator Cannella was not able to attend the event, he sent a video announcing to a crowd of over 400 people that he had named named Debi Bray, President/CEO of the Chamber, as Woman of the Year for the 12th Senate District of the State of California. Following a standing ovation, Bray, thanked the Senator and those who have supported her during her 28 year career at the Chamber. She was presented with a proclamation by the Senate office and a red rose from her 2 year old grandson, Sawyer.
